Exhibition of Art by S Ross at Kyoto Sushi – Ends July 2023
Art and food have always had a harmonious relationship. Similar to gallery owners who champion the work of emerging artists, restaurateurs are now doing so too. The Kyoto Sushi and Grill (57 High Street Ramsgate) is not just the only Japanese Restaurant on the Isle of Thanet, its head chef and owner Chef Jason Yub Cheng also produces some beautiful dishes that can certainly be described as Art on a Plate.
To enhance the ambiance of the restaurant and showcase local Art, the Kyoto Sushi and Grill* hosts a joint exhibition that covers the work of two Artists :-
Exhibition 1 – Birds and Seascape by Keith Ross
Acrylic paintings and prints that include a local seascape and some of the beautiful birds that Wild Life Videographer and Artist Keith Ross has filmed in Thanet.

Exhibition 2 – Seaside Pools by Sylvia Ross
A selection of unusual Abstract Watercolours inspired by the seaside pools in and around Ramsgate
The Artist’s Art work is not restricted to Watercolour paintings. The Abstract nature of the work lends itself to produce designs that have been incorporated into other Artwork and a bespoke range of designer Accessories, and Homeware.
@ArtbySRoss is the brand name associated with Silk Impression Prints, Digital Prints and Homeware & Accessories based on designs created using original Watercolours created by Sylvia Ross.
